The main challengers to the Tories

Last week after winning the Somerton and Frome by election with a massive 29% swing we bodly claimed that in South Suffolk a similar constituency with a mix of rural areas and market towns we were the main challengers here to the discredited Conservatives.

Indeed the swing required to take the seat is  lower  than that achieved in Somerset

At the time a number of people said this was a big claim given at the last election we came third behind the Labour Party. But today this claim has gained support from an unlikely source. The Labour Party.

On their website  Seats-Open-For-Selection.pdf (labour.org.uk) they list non-priotity seats where ther need to select candidates. South Suffolk is one of those constituencies.

So it is quite clear if you want to eject the Conservatives from power, to punish them for the sleaze and economic mismanagement of the past 13 years it is only by supporting the Liberal Democrats that you can make this happen. in this parliament voters in Buckinhamshire, Shropshire, Somerset and Devon have done just that in by-elections taking what were always seen as safe Conservative seats with huge majorities.
