We were concerned the approach would see an explosion in people pinged by the NHS app which could see up to 10m told to self isolate having been in close contact with someone who tested positive

The government you would have thought would question whether a more cautious apprpach was a sensible way forward

Instead we heard today that the government were considering " tune" the NHS app. In layman's terms that means making it less sensitive to contacts meaning that many who would have been pinged in the past would no longer be so because the rules identifying people are relaxed

The news comes after our Prime Minister appealed to people not to delete the app as a way of avoiding being tracked and traced.
