COVID-19 business grants closed

The Small Business Grant, Retail, Hospitality and Leisure Grant and the Discretionary Grants schemes have closed to new applications. Since the grants opened over £44m in financial support has been awarded to over 4,000 business across Babergh and Mid Suffolk to help them through the coronavirus crisis. In Babergh, over £15m worth of Small Business Grants were paid to 1523 business while over £7m of Retail, Hospitality and Leisure Grants were paid to 474 businesses.

Applications for the Discretionary Grants are still being processed, however, to date £726k has been awarded to 112 businesses in Babergh and £632k to 119 businesses in Mid Suffolk. Any businesses who submitted an application before the deadline on Friday but have not yet heard, will be contacted in due course to confirm whether they have been successful. All grants will be paid by Wednesday 30 September.

Your COVID Recovery

NHS is providing a digital service, Your COVID Recovery, giving guidance on recovering from the virus, as well as self-care information for anybody who wants to support themselves or others after getting Covid-19. The service has recently developed its offer to include an online assessment process that will give personalised support packages to those who need it, for up to 12 weeks.
